An Unlucky Day
Last Sunday was Mother's Day. I've decided to buy a present for my mother, so i went to the gift shop by myself. I saw many customers pueing up at the counter to pay for their gifts. They were many display shelves in the shop. I wakled around the shop as I didn't know what to buy for my mother.
Suddenly i remembered that my mother loves crystal very much, so i walked to the shelf that displays different shapes of crystals. I picked up a crystal ball, looking at it and disagreed with a grin as it was too ordinary. So i put it back and looked for a nicer one, a heart-shaped crystal caught my attention. I held it at eye-level and it was as if i was peering the world through the crystal. I was engrossed looking at the crystal.
Out of the blue, some one patted my shoulder, I was startled and turned round, it was the other customer that was looking for gifts and he had accidentally kncoked my shoulder. The crystal slipped from my hand when u turned back. A loud crash was heard and it broke into smihthereen. I blamed the customer for knocking my shoulder when i was looking at the crystal. At the same time, i also blamed myself for having butter fingers. I was nervous as i was in a bad predicament. Beads of sweat trickled down my face. The stern-looking manager came and scolded me. He also asked my to clean up the mess. I explained to the manager courteously.
While i was explaining, the owner of the shop came out from the office and asked the manager what had happened. The owner pitied me so i only had to pay half the price of the crystal. I was very sad as i didn't get anything for my mother. At last, i decided to bake a cheese cake for my mother during the actual day. I didn't tell my mother about the bad experience. Next time i'm going to be more careful when handling fragile things.

A Nasty Incident
It was such a sweltering afternoon that I decided to take a short cut home. The back alley was definitely cooler. As I turned into the back alley, it had an unpleasant smell. The back alley was full of rubbish. Out of the blue, I saw a fierce-looking man hiding behind a dumpster. I felt suspicious but I was also afraid that the man could see me so I observed the man from far away.
After a while, I saw the man ambush a little kid. Then, he was gagged with a piece of cloth and tied up with a rope. He was brought into a cramped and dimly lit room. The kidnapper asked for a ransom of RM250 from the little boy. I couldn’t see the man’s face because he wore a mask. I quickly called the police as well as the ambulance. The kidnapper kicked and punched the boy as he did not have enough money. The boy was dazed.
Just then, I saw a passer-by and asked him for help because the boy was in danger. I was outrage that the man did not bother to help the boy. After being hit a few times, the boy fainted and was bleeding profusely.
A minute later, the police arrived at the scene. They warned the kidnapper to surrender but he refused, so the police fired a few warning shots. The kidnapper had no choice but to surrender.
After a while, the little boy woke up. There were bruises all over his body. The kidnapper was arrested and brought to the police station. The injured boy was sent to the hospital.
After everyone left the scene, I walked home and told my parents about the incident.
